The Emotional Side Effects of Starcruising

There can be little question – especially for folks who have been passengers onboard the Halcyon – that Disney’s Galactic Starcruiser voyage is truly a work of art. Accordingly, like any other great work of art, the experience is designed to evoke strong feelings.

However, because experiencing the voyage is 100% interactive and not passive like watching a movie or TV show or reading a book, the emotions it elicits can be significantly more powerful – both during and after a trip aboard the Halcyon.

We invited former guest Jen Catania of Jen Eyre Cosplay to come discuss these feelings with us and how the Imagineering & LARP wizards at Disney have crafted the experience with these emotional journeys in mind. We talk about LARP ‘bleed’ and LARP ‘drop’ and also about how Jen apparently has bad luck around giant robots. 🙂

There are no spoilers in this episode . . . except to say we all love the Halcyon and our voyages . . . But you knew that, right?
